"Effective legal practice is not merely reactive - it is the art of anticipating risk, structuring clarity, and engineering resolution."

- Hussein Roba · Resolution Partner, HB Advocates
Professional Profile

My work begins where other lawyers prefer not to stand - in the uncertainty of a contested matter, where the facts are disputed, the law is contested, and the stakes are existential. That's not a problem for me. It's precisely the environment in which I've built my practice.

"I bring a dual-practice perspective that bridges high-stakes court advocacy with strategic commercial counsel - seeing how a dispute might be resolved before it ever reaches a courtroom."

I've appeared at every level of Kenya's court structure, advised on cross-border commercial disputes with international law dimensions, and designed bespoke resolution strategies for clients who needed something more than a standard litigation roadmap.

Across HB Advocates and Jamal & Company, I hold a dual-practice position that brings court advocacy and commercial transaction experience into the same room. It means I can see how a dispute might be resolved before it ever reaches a courtroom - and that perspective changes everything about how I counsel clients.
